NEW LIFE

Hi !!  I have learned that to be of service, or encouragement to others when I am down is a good way to change, or make better the challenges of the moment. The following is an e-mail  that I sent to a person in need of encouragement. A believer in Montana...I do not know !!
Please read and give your Wisdom (Chokmah) concerning the e-mail of edification !!!
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hHalleluJah !! Jesus Christ our Ever living King, is with you !! During this Resurrection Season, may *New* Life be in, with, and  through you. May your very Breath be filled with the Freshness of His Presence. You look at your reflection in a mirror realize that our Father creator does not make junk. Gaze out into the night sky, or out to the trees, flowers, and other Beauties of Nature.
While you are doing this reflect that you are more important than any of these !! I also was once in a similar challenge !! I had to Trust in the Creator Father, in-with-through Jesus Christ, that Life is and will change for the better.
Many years ago !!! Some people that were strong in Faith felt abandoned for a few hours. The One that they left all to follow, with their whole heart, was dead and put into a grave !!! (allow the past, yesterday, 10 minutes ago, be put in a grave).
On that early morning, as a few went to the grave to finish the burial, they noticed that the One they buried, was not there.
New Life !! Yes !! New Life had filled the One, and that which had died.....is Now New !!!
Trust !! Thank !! and Begin each Day, as a day of Resurrected *New Life !!!!! * Br.Phil. 3-26-13
Ps: trust in the Lord !! You will not be Ashamed !!

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES...

A reflection on just one of the wonderful childhood stories that can be found in St. Luke's Gospel.  A meditation presented by Bro. Phil Bara.

Lets take a look at the Scriptures of Luke’s Gospel. In chapter 2 verses 48-49, Mary the Mother of Jesus asks the question “Why did you do this to us? Your dad and I have been looking for you everywhere.”

I reflected upon this and brought to my mind are the many who are looking for the Lord Jesus Christ. Searching everywhere for solutions to the many questions of Life. Frantically running here and there for the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Someone to trust !!

Gazing at the scene portrayed in this Gospel Scripture we recollect how the Holy Couple, Mary and Joseph had thought that Jesus was with friends. Pondering this portion of the search, I am reminded of the many times that  I had thought of my friends as being the answer to the questions I was asking. Thinking that since they are on the journey through life with me that surely they would have the solution.

In the search for Jesus, Mary and Joseph arrived at the temple. Both worried and frustrated.   Since they had not found Jesus, they most likely were considering asking the priests, elders, and others to pray with them. Certainly they had to be reaching for the last straw.  Why not drop by God's house and see if there was solace and success there.

Entering the temple they found Jesus in the midst of the teachers, listening and questioning.  They were dumbfounded at the prudence and the wisdom of his answers.  This portion of the Gospel reveals to me that the answers, solutions, and explanations to the questions about Life, are found within the Walls of the Sacred Gatherings. In the Assembly of the Church, is found the One who answers our questions. Jesus Himself has stated:  “ That two or more are gathered in my Name, I will be found among them.”

Hopefully your search for the Way, the Truth, and the Life, will lead you to enter into the *Walls of the Sacred Gathering* and you will find the One, who will answer your questions with prudence and wisdom!!

LIFE IS AN ACTION WORD (John 14:6)

*Focus Thoughts and Live Life*
Life is an action word. Doing activities, achieving goals as realized accomplishments, and enjoying each moment, is possible. Although many times this may seem that with all the obstacles and challenges, that this is an improbable possibility. Trusting God, and having real confidence in our divine inspiration will cause the impossible to be possible.  “Let there be Light”  was the first command that was given by the Creator, and with this Light, Vision was created. When we focus our Inner Vision upon the Divine Light we are able to see the path that will lead us forward. Asking in prayer that our Vision be clear, guiding us in stepping forward with trust, and in achieving each
accomplishment along the way, will produce progress.  Moment by moment more will be demonstrated by our behavior and our understanding that the path we are on is Illuminated.  Our Focus in prayer will cause a closer relationship with God.
Regardless how depressed, or overwhelmed one may be at the present moment.  Perseverance ,*One day at a Time !!* in following the Divinely inspired directions will lead one to the Blessings of the *Promised Land*.  The *Land* may not be a geographical location, but it will be a *Land* filled with the milk and honey of the Peace of Christ’s Presence.
Focusing upon all that is above, I am reminded of that which Jesus said; “ I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life....” (John 14:6)
This reality is also revealed in the powerful lyrics of Psalm 119:105 “Thy Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light upon my path....”.  In the same Psalm, this praise is followed by the cry, "...give me life in accord with your Word." (verse 107)
As is stated somewhere !!! “ One is Lost, until a Path and Lamp is Given !!”        Happy Resurrection Day !!

GREAT IS THE GOD OF CHRISTIANS

“Great is the God of the Christians!!”  This was the Battle Cry, of many knights, sailors,
and Warriors in the Coliseum !!  This HooRahh !! ought to be ours today. Throughout our Life
we have many times when we need to not only proceed with caution, but with the zeal of a Warrior.
The early martyrs, and also the gladiators, that gathered in the days of persecution would cry out this verse. The tears that many expected to occur would turn to shouts of praise. So as we proceed with all of our many challenges may we be in Spiritual Unison with the many of the Historic Past. Lets unite our hearts and souls with the Valiant ones of yesteryear and Echo their cry of courageous witness: “Great is the God of the Christians !!”

ENCOURAGEMENT !!! EDIFICATION !!!

What might be your first thought after reading about a person described as a wanderer, an alcoholic, and a psychiatric patient? “Saint” would probably not be the word, and yet today’s memorial celebrates a person who, with his many struggles throughout his life oriented himself to God. Saint John of God’s experiences—which often left him as an outcast in society—were transformed through the grace of God and John’s openness to being transformed by this grace. He opened not only his heart but his door to helping others who were in difficulty, eventually founding the Hospitaller Order in Granada, Spain. How might your own struggles in life be an opportunity for grace? This is just a word of Encouragement, for all of us that have had thoughts that we were
useless, wasted, or just plain ol’ tired of putting up with it all !!  may the Richness of His Grace be poured on
and with us this day !! In *All* ways !! In the Name of Jesus Christ, The Everlasting One !! Amen !!

THAT GUY! EVERYMAN

Driving past him everyday, on my way to work. I notice him, as he walks lopsidedly, yet with a strong look of determination on his face. Others driving by scarcely notice the position that he takes on the side of the road. Dedicated he stands and raises the sign ; Need Work-for-Food .
The clothing is worn, yet clean, face shaved and tan, physical presence healthy.   The appearance of this guy has been a daily occurrence for the last few years. In all types of weather, the cold of the winter, and the heat of the summer. The attendance at this roadside compares to a military sentry.
“What has caused this situation?” is the question that enters my mind. “Why does he not have a job?”
These thoughts repetitiously enter my mind, as I drive away from the red-light.  As always, I gaze at
the few coins that are in the ashtray. “No, not today !! I may need these !!” I tell myself.
I finally reach my morning destination, sit and figure out the plan of the day. “Which one of these avocado trees need the most attention ?” I ask myself.  My conscience replies with “You could of
given that Guy the coins.”   I stubbornly ignore the ‘small voice’ , as I go and begin to move among the ripe fruit of Mother Nature's Bounty. Another day of the same routine. Check sprinkler, dig the dirt, look for the working of the little critters.  Only difference today is that the image of that guy keeps entering my mind. “Ok !! I will say a little prayer for this fellow !!” hoping that the sight of him will peacefully dissipate. “Ahh!! Peace at last !!” I say to myself.  Only to be haunted again a few hours, later. I finish the day, driving home by a different route.
Morning already !! Once again on the side of the road is that guy, with his sign. I speed up, hoping to not hit the red-light. Nope, didn’t make it.  I attempt to drive away, not looking at him.  My Inner Self speaks loudly, “Go back and give him the coins.”  I turn around nervously, swerving as
if I were under the influence. I stop my truck, grab the coins, and proceed to where the guy with the sign is standing.  Cautiously I hold out my hand, as if the guy was quarantined. “This is for you,” I tell him.  He reaches out and thankfully takes hold of the currency.  I notice that his hand is scarred, and has four fingers missing.  Without a thought I ask “What happened to your hand?”
The guy looks at me, then gazes away at the sky, as if he did not understand.  I apologize for my inquiry.  The guy looks deeply into my eyes and says         "They cut my fingers off !!” as he clears his throat. “ I am a teacher, or I was, till  the government became aware of me.”    I become interested in this guy's story.  I ask him “What ? I mean Why?” as a veteran I was sure I could handle the reason.
The guy tells me about how he studied for many years to be an educator of the young generation.  Explaining to me that he excelled with honors at the University. The guy emphasized that he fully enjoyed instructing the young.  Till the day arrived when he was ordered not to use the books and
materials that were his curriculum. “ I refused to submit ! I refused to teach falsehood ! Untruth!”
I listened with amazement . “ The government monitored all the classes. The books were rewritten and all the material was changed !”  I asked what happened then. The guy continued;
“ The officers entered the school, arrested me, and after I ,with all honesty refused their requests. They cut off my fingers. Telling me that this is only the beginning of what is to be for determined people like me.”    I, with tears in my eyes, thanked the guy, and once again prayed. Not just empty words to appease my conscience, but with sincere words for that guy. Who is now, my friend !!!

Editor's note:  The author, Bro. Phil Bara constructed this allegory.  It contains a lot of truth, not all of it historical but all of it is food for thought.  Have some for breakfast.

What ? Where ? When ? Why ? How ? Who ?

What ? Where ? When ? Why ? How ? Who ? These are all questions that refer to profiling.
Me I am just an old man !! I have no time for profiling, categorizing, and putting people, places, and things into segmented divides. One chooses either to enjoy the company of others, the usefulness and expediency of things or the beauty of places, or one chooses not to. Personally,  I choose to enjoy *Life* as * Life * is .
One --- each person has positive qualities that *hopefully* out weigh the negatives still found in each person's nature. (the tendency to evil,a part of our nature)
Two--- the abrasiveness that can be found in each person's character, usually caused by the self-centeredness of the person.  Does this cause one to stop exhibiting positive attributes present in the same individual?  Other factors that contribute to repulsive behavior, and cause division, are the many suppressed emotions, or the *quick* advancement plans, the *Bling* mentality of the *modern*, get it all now with no effort, infomercial manikins !!!
Three -- judging that a cup is half full or is half empty.....Some would rather deny either one and just decide that there is a third cup and say *L* that cup is full.  Those are the ones who do not take time to judge the quality of the contents.  Is it full of the purity that can safely be quaffed, or is it full of the *man made* seltzers, of *Ego*, Pride, Envy, Anger, Avarice, Concupiscence, Mistrust, etc.?!!  I can only perceive that for me to continue in a category , a profile, a limitation, is not productive !!!
or as the ‘old saying’ goes ...
